Pop sensation Agnes Monica just came back from America with her new single and video "Paralyzed". Many people have anticipated the single, and we have seen a lot of teasers and behind-the-scene clips of this video, hence didn't come up as a big surprise anymore.
What came as a surprise for people here, is that not only did she film the video clip, but also recorded a duet with one of America's greatest singers, Michael Bolton. They recycled Bolton's hit "Said I Love You But I Lied" for Bolton's new album called "Gem". The album will be released on June. Besides Agnes Monica, Coco Lee is said to be having a duet for the album as well.
"There was actually a project that I had to do [in USA], and I was not allowed to tell about it by my recording label. But eventually people knew about it, my fans asked my dancers about it," says Agnes Monica on her latest interview with Kapanlagi early this week.
"Everything happened spontaneously, including when Michael Bolton was willing to share the news with me [on Dahsyat Show's live cast]. I had no intention to tell people because it was still in process, we haven't got the result yet.
"The album [Gem] will consist of the duets from Michael Bolton with many artists, so it's a compilation album," Agnes explains furthermore. "Mr. Bolton was the one who called me first. I was so surprised and happy."

We also know that many people have doubt on Agnes Monica's big dream -which is to go international, and Agnes realizes it. She knows too, that most people judge her based on the quotes from infotainment, which are sadly and mostly misleading.
"There's no need to take notice on people who don't believe in our dream, or who keep mocking what we do. Just surrender to God, and consistent on providing our best," states Agnes.
"Our future doesn't depend on what people think of us, but on what we have done to ourselves. And most importantly, it's how we can make God happy in our daily life.
"I don't want to be someone who goes to the church and read bible but still keeps talking about other people, or judging people. In all religions, if we cannot apply the essence of our holy book, if we cannot give love to people, then we just end up being hypocrite.
"It is how to love those who hate us, because if we love those who hate us, bad people will do the same too. Good people do not just love those who love us, even to people who hate us they will give their love too. I hope I can apply this in the entertainment world that is full of temptation," preaches Agnes.
"There are so many knowledge in this world. But if someone only knows from a to d, then his conclusion will be just drawn around a or b, or c or d. But those who know a lot will not quick to judge. Because they observe one thing from many different point of views."

At the moment Agnes Monica is still focusing herself on singing, especially music production. She's learning several music instruments such as piano and bass guitar, music arrangement, and vocal.
"I've been learning classic piano since I was a little. But for song-writing, I still count on my hearing. I don't know yet about chord. I'm learning several music instruments, but I can't tell you now. Let this be a surprise," says Agnes.
What about leisure time with family and friends?
"I like going to the cinema with my friends when I have spare time. Twitter and Facebook keep me connected with all my friends wherever I go. With my family, sometimes we just go riding outside the city.

"It's one of ways to keep in touch with my fans. And I can tweet 20 times a day when I feel like it. I tweet them all by myself."
